yeah, alot to do with the decline in ship travel due to depression and the americans tightning imigration regulations, thus making two large ship companies an unsustainable extravagance. There was little to no market left.
Yet, the did build the queen mary and queen elizabeth, the second ship staying largest ship in the world from the early 40s to 1997!  |
