The woman who played Old Rose is Gloria Stuart and no, she is not a Titanic survivor.
I know James Cameron and the historians for the film, Don Lynch and Ken Marshall, consulted with some of the existing survivors, so it is possible that Old Rose's story could be a mix of their testimonies and memories. But for the film, Rose, Old Rose, Cal, Jack, and Ruth are all fictional characters. |
