I was watching the latest TV news report about Nomadic. It is thought that she can be restored in as little as a month, as she is in good condition, and most of her problems are cosmetic, ie. she just needs painting.
What to do with her after this was also discussed. The following are a few of the ideas;- 1. She could be used as a restaurant, as she was in Paris. 2. She could be part of the proposed Titanic exhibition. 3. She could be used for the purpose she was built - transporting passengers. 23 Cruise Liners are due to visit Belfast this year. It was mentioned that Nomadic could be used to ferry passengers to and from the Cruise Liners in to Belfast. How cool would that be? I think people will book cruises that come to Belfast just so they can be ferried upon the very vessel that carried people to Titanic.
I must state that these are only ideas, so don't get your hopes up (or book tickets) just yet.
