Sinking was a collection of error's and mistakes from the date the first steel plate was laid to the time the ship sank below the wave's. If anything it was calafornian's wireless operator (can't remember the guys name) fault for not encrypting the message properly. For really urgent message's a prefix is added to the message to tell whoever can listen 'PAY ATTENTION'. He added no such encryption so philip's was completley justified for telling him to shut up. When you think about it, how often when you are at work someone interupt's you and you either say or atleast think about telling them to shut up/go away.
However you cannot possibly blame calafornian's operator, he was merely trying to alert other ship's of information he knew about, he was either to tired or simply forgot to add the encryption. Simply put it was 'knowone''s fault. No one, but many, a collection of error's spaning from the iron the ship was forged from to philip's not answering/delivering the critical ice message. To murdoch choosing to turn left rather than right, that could only be a six and half a dozen descision, you cant possibly judge how close you are to the side of the berg, if anything he should of ramed it, but he would get fired for wrecking white star's new superliner, plus human instince to move out of the dam way! Collection of mistake's some deliberate and other's completley incosent, you can not possibly justify blaming an individual for the ship's demise, each error came together to produce the outcome that is now part of history.
