Hellen, if you want a good book on the science and state of the wrecksite, try reading a book called Ghosts of the Titanic by Charles Pellegrino (Not to be confused with Ghosts of the Abyss, although that is a good book too).
Anyway, Charles Pellegrino is an underwather anthropologist and Nasa engineer who went along with several expeditions including the one with Dr. Ballard, and one with James Cameron. His book is one of the most gripping, and thought provoking piece I have read and it really goes in depth about the wrecksite, giving new theories about what forces went on that night. He even gives a theory that some human remains may still survive in the chemical "anoxic beds" near the stern section. Great Reading!!! |
