Yes the name of the company that owned Titanic was commonly known as the White Star Line. But I asked for the "official name", which was the "Oceanic Steam Navigation Company". Many people don't know that title, but it is the offical name which was given to the company when Bruce Ismany's father took over the company when it was bankrupt. You learn something every day! |
