Collapsable B, which was overturned (and shown in ANTR), had about 20-30 people that climbed out of the freezing water. Some died from the temporary exposure and just fell off though. The chief night baker (Charles Jourgan), became the only person to stay in the water for almost two hours and not die. He eventually got onboard Collapsable B.

Collapsable A, had a problem of not being able to get its canvas sides up. So, water was in the boat to the point that it almost sank with the weight of the twenty or thirty so people that got into it. Aparently, went Officer Lowe in # 14 arrived to rescue the people off this boat, there was only 12 or so that survived the exposure from just being in a little of that freezing water.
