I'd have to say Yes to it. Lifeboats for all and evacuation drills are standard on all liners (ocean and cruise). <br /><br />Sadly though, it took 1,523 lives lost to get ships safer. Why does it take a disaster to get us to improve our travel regulations? The lifeboat laws (that Titanic was using) were from the 1800's and for liners that were about 1/3rd the size.<br /><br />I guess society is only "reactive" and not "pro-active" (I think that's the word for it).
