Hi Superbowl!
*you never stop knocking him. isnt any body allowed an opinion for them self apart from you* Knocking? Hardly. Criticising -- certainly. Where there are mistakes, omissions, and other flaws with a theory, then of course they will be pointed out by other researchers in discussions such as this. When you publish something, especially something as controversial as the conspiracy theory, then critical analysis is par for the course. Indeed, if you are prepared to accept a £100,000 advance for such a book, then your duty is to ensure your work is as accurate as possible. Indeed, Inger Shiel has related elsewhere the hurt caused to the son of Titanic's Fifth Officer when he was dying, as a result of essentially baseless accusations in one of Gardiner's books. Robust debate has exposed many flaws in the theory. To my knowledge, Mr. Gardiner has never publicly defended it -- in online or public debates, for instance (although I'll willingly be corrected on that). Who said 'nobody else' was allowed an opinion? Everyone is free to participate in this forum, it's just a question of choice. What I find interesting is that you have never offered anything constructive by way of debate into the flaws in the theory that many people have raised. Since you appear so willing to accept Gardiner's work, why don't you extend the same to the Beveridge-Hall book? Regards, Mark. |
