I just read the entire contents of this thread from the start and I was surprised.

First off, don't miss interpret this I'm not biased towards any of the arguments.

I was surprised to see how many people don't notice the differences between them. Yes they both had f funnels and looked somewhat identical, but there was big give always.

Someone posted that it would take a while to change the interiors. They said Titanic was more luxurious than Olympic, that’s not true nor is the idea that Titanic was bigger than her sister. It is often miss interpreted that Titanic was bigger. Apart from a possible fraction of an inch, they where the same length, width and height. The reason Titanic was said to be the larger sister is because she was heavier. This can be taken that because she was heavier more interior features, longer etc. The reason she was heavier was because of differences in the construction.

That construction would throw up the theory that it was not switched. There where big differences between them and the idea of changing them is somewhat more difficult than you think.

Am not talking about small things like changing name plates etc, but inclosing the promenade deck and changing the front section of the bridge.

The Olympic also had evenly spaced windows which Titanic had a pattern. Things like that would take a while and would involve taking out the rivets which means tempery structure struts to hold the ship together. So such a relatively small thing takes a while to do. There was no extremely long period of time when they could do this.
