[quote:bd570076e7="titanic over"]Where was the suction in the movie, all that got sucked under were Jack and Rose. WHat about the guy with the canteen, and the people swimming next to it?[/quote:bd570076e7]
[i:bd570076e7]Titanic's[/i:bd570076e7] chief baker, Charles Joughin, was on the aft rail when the stern sank. Supposedly he "rode it down like an elevator" and simply stepped off, never getting his head wet. That would imply minimal suction, which is quite hard to believe. However, Joughin was quite inebriated at the time, and who knows what actually happened. |

Jack_Dawson_Is_Hot - Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Someone might say they don't like your username, but to each their own. So to tell someone if they're going to have a signature like that be sure you don't see it, is a bit rude.
Titanic Over- I do agree though that considering you posted on the movie section of the board, the signature is a bit harsh... |

With regards to suction in the movie, I agree with jelle. In real life though, I've read testimonies of survivors saying that they couldn't detect an enormous amount of suction when the ship finally sank due to the fact that the ship sank so slowly.
