I did not see Helen Hunt in her Oscar-winning role, but the screenplay of [i:f6d62e317a]Titanic[/i:f6d62e317a] was too poor for giving Kate a chance to win the Oscar. So I say, no.

Everyone knows I LOVE LOVE LOVE Titanic, and Kate's character is neat, but I am not sure that Kate totally threw her entire self into the role, although her acting was quite nice.
:D  :) |

I agree with starry. She was good but not great. Helen Hunt was great in her role.

I [u:a335efdd3d]do [/u:a335efdd3d] think Kate did a good job, just not a great job. I've watched the movie many times and every time I watch it, Kate and Leonardo's acting, while good, just isn't as moving as it could of been. It's probably because of the lines that were written for them...who knows. Their plight on the ship, while tragic, just isn't Oscar worthy (in my opinion) although the rest of the movie was. Also, the love story isn't real, like the setting of the story is and the setting is what interests me.
PS I'm entitled to my own opinion, just like you are. I saw people who agreed with me too. |

By the way, how old are you? (I'm asking because of your little cartoon guy)
Also, don't get so angry over other peoples' opinions; that's all they are-opinions. You won't be able to change everybody's minds. |
