Does any one know if the rooms that were reconstructed to film the titanic were destroyed/preserved or sold on to another company like to use it for exhibitions?

Well if thats the case, then it is very pitty of them, seen that what rms titanic inc is earning by exhibiting the stuff and what fox pictures could have earned in addition to the movie.
They must have tought that the movie wasn't going to be too successful and just threw the scene away (at the time it was tought to not hit the box office/nor profit for fox) but cameron did make it happen.. still the scene is gone |

I guess the only thing they kept was the ship they built and now they use that for offices. I will see if I can find more on it.

I think they are on display somewere in America, I've seen some of the set at a exhibition in London, UK a few years ago.

i would like to see them if they are on display...i hope they didnt throw them away....what a waste that would be.....especially after how long it took them to build the replica.......

I've heard that they had to demolish the set because they had to make room for the new "James Bond" movie at that time (Goldeneye)

Everything was demolished am not sure if it was for the bond movie because that is MGM and United artists made that. Where as Titanic was made by 20th century Fox and Paramount but your right it was demolished for another movie. Only some props go around the world that was't destroyed during filming.
