Accidents : Four missing after South Korean navy vessel sinks
SEOUL, Oct 13 (AFP) - Four South Korean navy crew were missing Wednesday
after their boat sank off the country's east coast, military authorities said.
The ship went down 37 kilometers (23 miles) off the southeastern port of
Ulsan around midnight on Tuesday while returning to its base after taking part
in a routine naval exercise, the defense ministry said.
Five crewmembers were aboard the ship and one was rescued by a relief team
who rushed to the scene in response to a distress signal from the sinking boat.
But four others remained unaccounted for until Wednesday. The cause of the
sinking was not known.
