Thompson Dry Dock Description: This is the dock which was specially built for the Olympic class liners, Olympic being the first ship to use the dock, and any pic you see of Titanic ( or Olympic) in a dock, it will be in this one. Note the security fence put up around it, as the safety of the dock gate is not known, with the danger it may give way and flood the dock. N I Science Park own this whole area and are supposed to be restoring it to its former glory. Just don't ask them when!
