At long last plans for the Titanic Tourist Project for Belfast has been unveiled. The £100m plans include Exhibitions, a Hotel, a Conference Centre, a replica of the Arrol Gantry and a full scale model in the Thompson Dry Dock, which will be lit up at night.

Hopefully it will be open for business in time for the 100th anniversary of her maiden voyage in 2012.

Ever since the world's worst maritime disaster unfolded on the night of April 14, 1912, the story of the ill-fated ocean liner, RMS Titanic, has managed to capture the hearts and minds of generations of people. On May 1, 2005, Bonhams & Butterfields will bring together some of the most important and scarce artefacts from the doomed vessel for sale at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Over 20 events are to be held in Belfast to celebrate and commemorate the Titanic in a special festival which starts this month.

Lord Mayor Tom Ekin visited the site of the city's first shipyard this morning to announce details of the city council's fourth annual 'Titanic - Made in Belfast' programme.

Neil Jordan, Director of the NIFTC-assisted BREAKFAST ON PLUTO, has praised Northern Ireland as an excellent location for international film production. On location at the recently disused Maysfield Leisure Centre, Mr Jordan praised the Northern Ireland Film and Television Commission for their investment in the production which he commented had resulted in the film being brought to Northern Ireland. The film is primarily funded by Pathe films who will also distribute the film and is greatly supported by the Irish Film Board.

The Carnegie Science Center, which there are 4 of in Pittsburgh USA is comming up with a spectacular event starting October 9 and other impressions lasting till November. They also have the Ghosts of the Abyss: The IMAXâ„¢ Movie running together in par with the spectacular exhibition.
